yup the connector is to the left of the motor find a diagram somewhere and just jump the two prongs that tell it that its in park or neutral. a safety pin or a paper clip or just bend the metal so it touches itself woill work and youll be good to go. and have a way to keep ppl from stealing your jeep

there are 4 wires coming out of the plug going to the switch, 2 of which have been cut by someone previously owning the jeep, my reverse lights dont work so im assuming those are them? the other 2 should just need to be jumped as you said, but when i did that nothing changed. now you would think its not the NSS but if i jump the starter and get the jeep running and warmed up, then it will start by the key if i jiggle the shifter. is there something i missing, im completely confused.

i used the haynes manual to identify which connecter it is, im pretty sure its a six prong connecter and its common for reverse lights not to work if you NSS is messed up, ive never had reverse lights on my jeep because the NSS tells it that its always in park, the NSS connector is in with a big cluster of connectors on the back by the firewall on the passenger side of the jeep
