  • Maxxis bighorns?

Does anyone have experiece with maxxis bighorns? i have heard good things and there only 177$ for 33's off quadratec. My friends dad has them on his 2500 turbo desiel dodge, and has pulled trailers and some heavy loads of wood with it. And they have done some burn outs done on them a couple of times. they have about 5k on them(from being on the dodge, they took them off a tahoe with a blown motor) and they dont look that bad, tread wise, all street driving.

Thin side walls are the weak point. I tore one and it wasn't a rip worthy situation. Other than that they were good.

There are some ebay sellers that sell them a lot cheaper than quadratec

ok was that video showing how good they are or the weak sidewalls. I do a lot of street driving. Right know i have general grabber at2. Would you say the sidewall is stronger then those, cause no one ever gives general great reviews. i like the look of the bighorns and figure they might have some ok street life seeing as they can withstand my friends 2500 dodge diesel. If you didnt blow the tire doing that in the vid then i dont think i should have a problem.

I heard they were pretty good tires. and since you do a lot of street driving i wouldnt worry about the sidewalls. but you can prob find them cheaper. look around

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

I've had my Km 1's for 5 years and 2 are at half tread and the other 2 are at 3/4 or more

id say i probably have 15,000 miles on my bighorns, about half tread left maybe a little more . I do a good amount of highway driving and have had zero issues on the road.

because no one has run em long enough yet.

if you wheel, youll get 20-30k out of em. if you dont, 40-50k.

Does anyone know of any sites that sell the maxxis bighorns?

And whats the gain of tire width, Does the the wider tire just give more traction. i kind of like the 33/10.5 km2's

some seller on ebay has the best prices

more width=more floatation, more footprint, more stable

narrower= contact pressure/arguably better mpg's, easier to fit
