  • 2.5inch lift with 31s?

this is what i am lookin to do in the next month. how do you guys think itll look on a tj? cant really get 32s to fill it out because of a 2.5L and lack of cash to regear. does anyone have any pics of a jeep like this? if it look too stupid i think ill end up staying stock and spend the money on an aussie locker instead.

JoeNitro's girlfriend (SillyBoys) has a TJ with a 2.5 RC lift and 31's. The tires look small.

EDIT: I run the same setup as you, so pics wouldnt matter

I ran my tj at stock height on 31"s for about 3 years. never had an issue with rubbing or anything and it looked great.

get 31's, trim if needed and buy a locker.

my friend had a yj with 31's locked f&r and would show up dudes on 36's

i know that 31s fit fine, im running them now. this is just for my next upgrade. i thought a small suspension lift would offer nice articulation and some increased clearance etc which would be a good upgrade. also thought about doing it because it is the only size lift i could afford in like the next 4 years so it would be a good cheap upgrade to add some performance. according to you guys its starting to seem like the lockers would be more worth it because itll give me a huge increase in traction. i can't decide yet. maybe just some stiffer, slightly taller springs? can anyone give me a rundown on that like the cherokees that cummins has? those and lockers might be the way to go for me.

I think it ZJ or WJ springs will net you like 2 to 3 " V8 coils. I cant remember off the top of my head.

so if i could find some zj coils, would i want to do them all around or just up front you think? also how hard is it to find those? is installing them just as simple as popping them in or do i have to mess with bumpstops or something else like that?

I'm not sure about them in the back, but i'm pretty sure they work in the front. and you should be able to swap them right in. you can bumpstop accordingly if you want. at that height you should be ok with stock brakelines at least in the front
