  • proportioning valve

    mine leaks........... can I get one of these new or should I hit up the junkyard again? anybody have any clue how much I can expect to pay........ or what years will work for my '98?

      it looks like the threads for front the passenger side line are boogerd up pretty bad...........good enough to leak I'd say

        take the line out and make sure? line couldbe fonked up

        i paid like 10 bucks for a zj prop valve at a yard

          Sam I took all the lines off the valve and removed the valve from the jeep to have a good look at it..... and it's boned. ZJ one any better?

              Hey, Kevin, Your prop valve is setup with ZJ parts to work with rear discs. I forgot that i guess. sorry. All that needs to be changed is the screw in part in the front and the spring, everything else is stock.

                  well that explains why my rear brakes grab a lot better than I thought they should! But thats ok. Already replaced it with an XJ unit.
