  • Removing Thermostat housing

Since ill be home over the next 2 days, i was planning on replacing my thermostat that has prolly been in the jeep since '89.

My problem is, the bolts look like if i try to remove them, they will just snap off. If they do snap, how do i remove them. Do i just use an easy-out? or do i have to drill them out and other shit?

if they do id try an easy out. Spray them with PB and go from there, nice and slow. Ive heard that loosening them a little then tightening then loosening a little more works well.

that does work... you comeout 2 turns go in 1 turn and spray some pb blast on that situation, i put everything back together with anitseize on the nuts and bolts

depends how they snap if you snap the heads off (happens often as they can corrode around there, you will be able to slide the housing off and pray with pb/use heat and probably get them off with vise grips.

but i wouldnt worry about them snapping until they snap
