Hey can anyone tell me how i can find out what size my front and rear ends are?? It does have a 4.5'' lift and 33's on it. I just dont know if the guy who had it before me did anything to them. I have a 97 xj and i need to change the front axle ujoints very soon. Just curious if i need to know if its a dana, chrysler,or stock????? This is why i need to be schooled..

dana 30 front.......rear is either a dana 35 or chrysler 8.25. if its got a flat bottom its a chrysler, if its rounded, its a dana 35. if its an older jeep, its a 27 spline, the newer style cherokees(98-01) have 29 spline ones.

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

You have a D30 front axle and the rear is either a Chrysler 8.25 or Dana 35. The 8.25 has a flat lip on the bottom.

Then you probably have the D35 which would be the less desireable unit.

similar to driveshaft. Most people use the sockets in a vice technique.
