School me on cages

I already have ideas of what I am doin for cage for the jeep. I know that I want the cage to be extremely tight to the body and in the body in some/most areas. As it is I was never a big fan of exo cages just cause they are ugly so if I can make the tube look like its not even there in some spots that would be great. The shitty thing about comanches/cherokees is that unless you do an exo as soon as you roll it the thing turns to shit. At least with a wrangler the upper body panels are cage and the windshield is easily replaceable. I am doin 2x6 rockers as soon as maybe this weekend that will be the main tie in to the cage as well as my front bumper.

I was lookin around last night and came across this thread and it shares a lot of the ideas I had in my head.




The front fender is close to exactly how I plan to build it including all the way up the a-pillar and into the roof, love it. Nice and low profile.

SO whos got pics stashed away of cages on cherokees they like so i can have more ideas.

Kinda diggin this guys bed cage too, I like my bed right now so no to yous who are gonna say make a flat bed or truggy.

i dont like the cage on that yota... especially the rear... if that thing rolled those dumb long ass tubes would bend without hesitation.
make the rear bars coming off the roof go down and tie into the frame/bumper, or maybe the bedsides......

run the front through the fender like this. maybe rethink the hoop but otherwise it's good for hiding tube. also wont completely destroy the fender if you lay it against a tree

I like the tube around the back and across the top of the non existent tail gate in that toyota pic, I would wanna shorten the tubes and run to bedside on the downtubes from the roof. As for the tube in the fender idea, not really supper diggin it, thought about it but would rather cut the fender apart and make it work that way.
