  • What " lift with tube fenders and 35s?

I just got some 31's and I want to lift to 2.5" however this summer I plan on going 35s with tube fenders once I get some cash. I don't want to get a lift now and have to swap it out with a new one so is 2.5" of lift good enough to provide proper flex with 35s and tube fenders? I'd rather get one quality lift now instead of a crappy lift and then a quality lift of a different size later.

Putting tube fenders up front with less of a lift isnt going to solve the low lift/tire clearance issue in the back with 35's. I think 2.5" with tube fenders up front would be fine, but I think you may have some clearance issues in the back. There are options out back if you have time/tools/fabrication skills or money. Fender trimming, relocating the inner wheel well higher are options as well as tube fenders in the rear.

I think the TnT fenders I want to purchase requires trimming for the rear fenders, I'll need to look into that though

I was considering the highline kit but I think it makes the bumper look ugly as hell, that's just me though

          vs 3" Highline Tube Fender

Hm, I wonder if 3.5" lift with the fenders would rub in the back. Still a fairly low lift and may not have to cut anything, or at least not as much...

BTW I am going tube fenders front and rear, I'm 90% sure the rear ones require cutting and extend the wheel well a shitton

Front tube fenders dont do shit for clearance. all they are good for is so that your stock fenders get beat up and look like shit.

wanna save money? cut trim and move stock flairs.
to get 35's not not rub on the inside on the rear wheel well you will need adjustable control arms to re-center the axle (to move it back an inch or 2). you can trim the rear of the wheelwell for days, not the front.

mines with 36's and they fit in the stock wheel opening with minor flair trimming

                    go to neow.org

some dude is selling one of those cambell (sp?) fiberglass high clearance hoods for like $250

you dont run fenders and it has a small flair built in

I've read TnT tube fenders are different and have more of a recess inside to be able to stuff tires nicely, money won't matter once I get the build going this summer, I'm just curious about lift requirements

i wouldnt go more then 2.5 or 3" suspension lift, do a highline or 1" body lift if you need the extra clearance. As far as tube fender's, they are nice, but I still use stock fenders (remounted higher from the highline of course) and havent had much issue with them. If i hit them on something I just bend it back.

this is 4" lift, homemade highlined front and rear which isnt trimmed. Properly bumpstopped the rear wont be an issue with 35s.

this is with 35's and the highline

with 36x13.5 tires on I rubbed the rear flare a tad on the RTI ramp at jeep rally
