  • Degree shims

How much do degree shims actually do? i don't have the money to do a t-case clock with a sye kit, and was looking at the cheap way.

How many degrees do i need with 5.5 in lift?

Feedback of them would be nice

you need to shim when you do the sye conversion or tilt the t-case down via use of t-case drop or mml. also helps get the pinion out of the rocks.

with a slip yoke you want the output shaft of the t-case parralel to the pinion shaft

when you do an sye you want to point the pinion shaft to the t-case output

i have the t-case drop currently, but my vibes are getting worse quickly.

Is there any other ways to stop them?

Has the price on that come down recently? Any quality issues with PORC?

I've been thinking about grabbing the parts separately and doing this soon - I saw a link over on NAXJA where the yoke was approx. $85...but with buying the remainder of the parts I think it would add up to a similar price as the PORC.

when I bought mine last year it was 180, so yes it has gone down by 20 bucks. I didnt have mine long, but when I did I never had a problem with it. Mike has it now
