  • Water leaking in my XJ

I have a 1997 Cherokee XJ and every time it rains water leaks into the vehicle. It started by just leaking into the passenger floor, but now leaks into both the driver side and passenger side. I have heard of this happening to alot of XJs and have never found out a straight answer...

ive heard it could be the:

    Window seal
    heater core
    a/c vent

any ideas? and also if you could tell me where exactly the problems would be located

This may seem stupid, but I've accidentally done it back in the day before my Jeep had the complexion of Mercury.

Take a hose and spray the jeep down, hit every place where glass and rubber meets and see where it leaks. It honestly could be just dry rot on some seals.

Where the hood release cable runs through the firewall, water gets in there.

The windshield wiper bezel piece, take it off, there are drains in there that sometimes get clogged and cause water to leak inside.

Honestly your best bet would be to go search NAXJA.org . They know way more than we do.

like what phil said, check all of you're seals, weather stripping's and anything else that will stop the weather from getting you're interior wet
