Who makes the good shit for good prices? Looking for a decent pair with mad travel for the rear. For valving the first number represents how stiff the upstroke is and the last number for the downstroke? What do the numbers represent? Where to buy?

he may not have enough room to run 11"travel shox unless hes planning on making some shock towers above the bed. If thats the case run the 15" travel bbcs's.

If thats the case, do you think you can get that kind of travel out of the leaf springs? I know my 11" travel bbcs shocks dont fully extend on the rear when i flex, in the stock mounting location. Although mine are still stiff, and i cant get the same range of motion out of my shackles as you potentially are able to.

my 2" lift shocks (7" travel or so) are just right for my 4.5" flat re leaf springs with a 1.5" shackle.

when yo get a bling blang shock mount them as close to the spring/wheel as possible you will also make better use of all that length

                  i'm running 1" T&T boomerang shackles.

That why i was saying, if he works his shackle angles and mounts right he should get plenty of travel in the rear.

                    righto chap.

corey, whats your budget for shocks? you really should match up front as well, or at least upgrade to a real shock.

Yea I know, good advice. It's funny how one day the money is there and the next it's not. Now I found a car trailer that might be mine. And somethings fucked with the fuel pump again. Probably going to look into a cell and external pump.

I have no idea what im talking about but wouldn't mounting it as far out as possible decrease the amount of droop it allows?

Yea but the shock works better when it is as far out wide as possible and as verticle as possible. Otherwise it looses "leverage" on the axle. In other words if you had two schocks right in the middle they would flex forever but wouldn't do shit in an off camber situation or around corners.
