  • Vacuum Canister Question:

I've searched the internet trying to figure out the purpose of this thing. I keep finding different things on websites, but no solid information. If someone could explain the purpose of this thing, it'd be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I believe it's the vacuum one. The one that is behind the bumper on the passenger side.

its so you have reserve vacuum for things like cruise control, heater control and all vacuum operated accessories.

ya mang. all that stuff "should" work well enough with the motor running, you might not have enough vacuum at certain RPMs to run the cruise good without it though.

and when you give it throttle with the floor heat on it will change to defrost only until you let off and let vacuum build back up then back to floor heat

My gas milage went to fucking shit after I cut that thing off for some reason. I ended up plugging it with a screw and it went back to normal.
