  • fuse keeps blowing

so this just started today out of nowhere. my radio was working fine then when i went outside to turn it on it was ok until i put it in drive. the I.O.D. fuse under the hood was the one that blew. i replaced the fuse twice and it only does it when in drive. could this be a short somewhere?

check your wiring, maybe something is pinched, burnt, worn, crossed or just somehow damaged. Or it could be the insulation around the end where they connect somewhere has eroded causing them to be bare and touch together then short?

Its some sort of monster over current draw. Start looking for any obvious shorts. Other then that throw an amp-clamp over the wire and see what its actually drawing

found it. the ground wire on my amp had a few stray wires touching the remote wire so it was shorting the whole thing back to the fuse box

youre lucky the bigger fuse couldnt handle it, that would have been a nasty fire.
