no guages

well i bounced off the rev limiter a couple times tryin to get up this nasty ass hill

and by the time i got the top my airbag light was on, speedo and tach were dead.

drive to the gas station, turn jeep off, turn jeep on, absolutely no guages.

i have read about this corroded wiring harness plug issue, i figure ill check it out and throw some dialectric grease in there for temporary.

BUT

is this connection right on the back of the guage cluster?
easy to get to on 97+ xj's? (never torn into a newer dash)

when you pull the face of the dash off the gauge cluster comes out as an assembly, you take the screws out and pull the assembly toward you and the harness is stationary behind it

This is why I wait a little while before I fix some issues on my Jeep haha. It fixes itself most of the time.
