heres my problem, i got my xj with a d35 and i swapped it over to a d44 so my drive shaft is a bit long... would i be able to take the T-case drop out ( i've got RE3.5 leafs) or would i need shims? if so what size?

Shims are fun until you realize they are made out of aluminum or pot-metal and they shatter between the leaf and the perch.
