My mothers 96 ZJ, has a 5.2 and an auto in it.
Right now it is super sluggish on take off. the throttle response is there, aka i can mash the pedal and the engine will respond right away...but its reallly sluggish. i mash it and it slowly accelerates up to speed compared to what it normally does. when im cruising at say 30+, i can work the pedal on and off and all feels totally normal, but slow speeds and from a stop its very apparent. she said it is definitely worse in the cold weather. this was all test at operating temp as well...as well as cold running.
maybe a clogged up airfilter? maybe something with tranny fluid? maybe throttle body?
whats everyones opinions? lemme know if i missed any info that needs touching on
