i want to replace all the seals in my axles (the rears are leaky) to replace the inner axle seals i know i have to remove the carrier but can i just put it back in and replace the caps and bolts and torque to spec or do i need to do any shimming?

there should be no shims to worry bout.... unless your replacing the carrier bearings.
mark the caps... pull the carrier...replace seals...torque it back together... and walllllllaaaaaOriginally posted by Ktmracer419some people choose video games

I am doing this EXACT thing right now, except with my front 44. Lucky for me, my front had no shims .
i would check the backlash and carrier preload anyway (easy to do)
but you dont need to take the shims out anyway to do seals
and your rear 60 shouldnt have inner seals
