for the leaf and shackle bolts drill a hole in the little "cup" that houses the nut and stick a torch in there.

don't install the trackbar unless you like dead people

have a spare set of leaf bushings ready when they wear out

Go with a RE Heavy Duty Tracbar and Bracket. Its more money but worth it. Also get some PB blaster or WD40 and spray every nut and bolt you will take off.
2000 XJ with goodies soon to be in pieces
1999 XJ will get most of the 2000XJ doodads.

So i should keep the stock trac bar on for now ? i dont plan on wheeling the jeep for a while till i get skids and one ton steering. So i was going to run the rustys till i have money for a new one all the other stuff i read said they are fine so now im confused lol.

                  Truth

Personally it might be a good idea to order the RE bar then do the lift so its all done at once. How long will it take you to get the RE bar? If you don't plan on wheeling it run the rustys bar but replace it with the HD RE one.

                    NO.

Someone find the article about the guy who was running a Rustys trac-bar, had it snap in half going around a corner ON THE STREET, and flipping his jeep end over end. That guy is currently in a lawsuit with them over it. I'll see if I can find it.

It should be fine for the time being. Look at all the people that run them across the country and you heard of one thing. DON'T wheel it but street it for the few weeks it takes you to get the RE one. My buddy's mall crawler has been running one for over 2 years

Despite all the hate for the rustys trackbar, it will get you around while you wait for the new one, I've had mine for a year now and it hasn't snapped or bent in any fashion
