grease guns

i cant for the life of me get it to pump grease. the thingie says push in the rod while pumping to get the air out... shit aint workin.

enlighten me.

when you put the cartridge in did you put the open end down (capped end with cap removed). then remove the pull tab end so both ends are open ? if you made it that far, did you put the top on LOOSELY and pump the gun a few times to remove trapped air ?, then tighten up the top and press the bleeder to remove any remaining air ?

yea lol. popped the pull tab, put that end down inside, pulled the plastic off the top, screwed on the top. i'll try it again in the morning lol.

the plastic cap side should be on the bottom, then pulltab side on top where you screw the top on, although i havent replaced a grease gun cartridge in over a year i cannot tell you if theres a difference or not. also is there no grease coming out at all or no grease coming out when you try putting it on a fitting ?

no grease at all.. havent tried putting it on a fitting yet.

push the bottom rod all the way in, unscrew the top a thread or two and then just pump the handle a bunch until grease comes out and then tighten cap.

eff you i used to use those cheap little ones and they would always break and/or disappear so i bought a normal one.
