  • Passenger Drop Waggy 44 ????

I am looking to possibly put a D300 in mah beater and in the interest of not wanting to flip the transfer case I was wondering if the PS drop is as good as the DS drop.

Are there any set backs to the PS drop??

if anyone is wondering i am looking at getting this to adapt the D300 to my aw4

I am working on this for my xj, picked up a dana 300 last weekend, here's what i'm using/doing.

this is the link for the adapter/clocking ring to make it actually all work haha.: http://advanceadapters.com/product/2...nput-Gear.html

And because i'm still driver drop and intend on being driver drop. I am "making" a flip kit, much cheaper:

I'm also going to twin stick it, make cable shifters, and install a tera-low gearset.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

          AX5??

I know the problems with putting it in. i am just wondering about the axle... is the strength any different than a Drivers drop? are there any things i should be worried about or look for when i pick up an axle?? I know this is probably a "duh you dumbass" question but i am sure of the tried and true drivers drop waggy 44 but have never heard of anyone using a passenger side drop. Is there a reason for this?

i know in a tj or yj you need to run a SKINNY front drive shaft for clearance. and yes they are just as good, my friend ran front and rear waggy 44's (pass drop) with 36's. the 300 had a 4:1 kit AND he had a t-18 with the granny gear. insane gearing !!!

As for the pass drop waggy 44 strength, idk. i'd imagine it would be just as strong though, because i'd assume that it has pretty similar components.

its cheap to flip it. i dont see any downsides

what i do see though is. if you are going through the effort of stickin a dana300 under there, GET WONTONS, so you can do front digs and not explode parts
