my upper bumpstop sits about an inch above the top of the prothane and it actually compresses quite a bit.

      umm

what keeps the prothane from eating the stock bumpstop and the prothane gettin all stuck in that biznitch?

      anyway

i ran zero inches of free travel with them bent rustys 3" coils.

and when i ran tomken 3" coils i had about 2" of free travel

and when i had no name 2" coils i had like .5" of free travel

they will compress to about half their size

i figured they'd compress to about half. im gonna cut the stock rubber jam off and put a piece of plate their so the prothane has something solid and flat to compress against.

          thank dudes.

my prothanes are fucked and i need to fix them asap as well. adam if you weld a plate on the bumpstop towers make sure the coils will fit over them or you won't be able to fit em anymore. obvious yes but i could see it happening

I just put mine in, I didnt take any pics tho. but what i did was cut out a round piece of metal and welded it to the upper bumpstop tower. What Im hoping this does is prevent the tower to dig into the bump stop and have it hit the prothane more evenly. I have about 2 inches or so of free clearance between.

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

x2. the hole in the upper tower fits a 1/2 bolt perfectly.
