  • Flushed heater core, gauge stopped working

Well in my quest for heat I flushed the heater core, lots of brown shit came out and everything seems to run fine now.

I get heat a lot quicker than I did before and it blows hotter. The only problem is my temperature gauge stopped working right after this.

Any ideas on what the fawk happened? Both hoses are hot so coolant is circulating. is the tstat fucked? sensor? gauge coincidentally stop working?

the needle on the temp gauge goes all the way to 260 when starting it up, which is normal. When I pull the CTS off the electric fan kicks on.

Where is the gauge when its running?
I don't always drink orange juice, but when I do, I prefer to chew it. #madpulp

sounds like the sending unit is either unhooked or its bad
