posi spiders are different than open diff spiders so i would have to think no.
Go with a mini spool $75 if you really don't like it then you can always put a aussie in it.
I don't like the automatic lockers in the rear because it pops in and out of locked/open one the worse is long bends on exit ramps if your on the power it is locked you have to over steer let of the gas it opens up and you have to correct the steering it locks up on down shifting just very annoying that is all.
Mine only unlocked when i had the clutch in so if I need to step on the gas at all going around the corner it would lock it up. Basically it was a spool any time i steeped on the gas so i don't see the reason for an auto locker.
If it is in the front axle that is a different story an auto locker is good because when you take it out of 4wd it disengages the front axle.
A spool is more predictable you don't have that popping in and out of locked unlocked.
And way stronger.
I will never go back to an automatic locker. I had a Detroit locker older style newer auto lockers might be better.
To me if your worried about going through the very expensive tires save up for an selectable locker. It will pay for itself after the second set of tires.
But it is your money so do what you want.
If it was me I would leave the gears weld the spiders and put the money into a np231 crawl box.
Nice I see you have Bad Apple Diff Guards I'm good friends with him.RCrocs #123 Brown CJ-5

coming from someone with a spooled rear
don't spool it.
-turning radius sucks balls
-tires end up on the pavement (seriously on a 90* day turning in a parking lot, you could legitimately see tire tracks everywhere i went, looks like someone did a sick burnout on the sharp corners)
-your unibody will thank you, puts added stress on the leaf bushings and body
