problems on my bros YJ

so after a long time of sitting, he's moving back to CT and decided to drive his 95 wrangler 4.0 auto... we got on the highway and went threw emissions, get back on the highway to get the hard plates, it breaks down on use we test the fuel pump it had pressure at the rail, test for spark.... what else could it be.... and go...

what type of tranny? could it be a NSS issue?

i believe it's a 904 straight 3speed auto, like i said it's got spark and gas so...

it slowly stalled out with a couple of backfires

no we haven't but i was thinking it coulda been the crank sensor again, would it still have spark if that's bad?

probably it just wouldnt be at the right time, i honestly am not that familiar with diagnosing sensors tho

not all vehicles will loose spark if it goes bad most the time the spark just wont be timed correctly. brakes down does it compleatly die out or just has no power.
