  • Calling Will, Sam, Adam... guys with performance shocks on xj's

    I bought saharicons edelbrock shocks...

    my question is... at flex the shock body comes into contact with the frame.

    have you guys had this problem??

    my shocks bend because they hit the frame

    it doesnt make noise or break anything so its fine in my book

      Front or rear? I'm running them in the front and have zero issues like that
      I don't always drink orange juice, but when I do, I prefer to chew it. #madpulp

              are you short on flex jon?

              But mine def hit... i dont wanna go to far on flex... limit strap or more bumpstop??

              but if you say yours bend sam then maybe i will just leave it be.

                not when i was on 31's unbumped and 4.5" lift

                            Does this problem occur when using stock shock mounts or what? Maybe modifying the position the upper and/or lower shock mounts would alleviate this problem.

                              when you have lotsa flecks the dropping side of the axle goes toward the center of the vehicle bringing it closer to the body.

                              stock mounts are a stud type which generally suck to work with.

                              i just live with it. making a new stud hole is too much work and you wont notice a difference
