Rims - 16 inchers

If I wanted to go to a 16" rim on the cheap what should I be looking for. Steel or alloy doesn't really matter - price does.

16" rims from other vehicles that fit the XJ?

anything with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern some newer fords (rangers) have this pattern and come with 16"

every ranger from 85-present has the 5x4.5" lug pattern you need. Most 97 and older rangers have 15" wheels. My 2000 had 16" whhels stock. If I were you I would buy some new black steel wheels. summit has them for 60 dollars each.

I'm basically a junkyard shopper - but thinking of buying a brand new set of tires that require going to 16" rims - but would also want a little less backspacing over the TJ Canyons I'm running now. New tires and new rims = more $$ than I can spend.

get a set of the rubicon moabs? or wj rims and wheel spacers to adapt, thatll also get rid of some rubbin

I like the look of the Moabs but don't expect to get them cheap.

Spacers + wheels + tires = I gotta sell more JY parts.
