So my new jeep has some holes in the unibody, i know that fromt he factory in most spots its only an 1/8th inch thick so welding in some bits and pieces won't be too bad but will it hold up and be strong enough for wheelin?

i have seen entire floors go missing, yet the rails stayed in the same spot unharmed.
the inside of them appear to be galvanized last time i saw one.
now im no galvanizing expert, but can you galvanize one side of metal? or does the finish come off with a flap wheel or something? because i have welded to the outside of rails just fine and dandy. (and galvanized metal is supposed to be a bitch to weld and could kill you with the smoke)
