I was driving the jeep with out a steering stabilizer but when i accelerated hard,i could feel the tires wobble. So i put in the spare stabilizer i had lying around and it is to long. when i turn my wheels right, it fully compress at about half turn and is fine turning left. is there a piece out there to move the pin for the stabilizer farther up? or would i be better off buying a new stabilizer? i was thinking about cutting the pin and welding a jig to move the pin farther, any ideas?

how much lift do you have? on stock steering i assume? the taller you go the more of an angle your drag link is and that might be bringing the ss mounting points slightly closer to one another.
anyways...
i havent had a stabilizer in about 3 years.
make sure your caster is in check and the rest of your front end is tight.
if everything is 100% fine, your tires are out of balance or out of round.
steering stabilizers are there to mask minor imperfections in the front end.

buy a stock one from autozone. it will be fine. 30 bucks and lifetime guaranty... on my xj they replaced mine every time i would dent it or blow it.Originally posted by Fast Orangeif you piss all over the floor and get 3 drops in the bowl do you count that as good? granted i'm good for a sprinkle or two on the seat, but you leave all of our feet wet, metaphorically speaking of courseOriginally posted by HitItWithSomeSpeedI find adam sandler strangely attractive, it must be josh's fault. god that kid sucks
