  • U-joint size suggestion

busted both drive shafts before i left for FT. Eustis and i'm coming home soon and i want a new shaft waiting at my front door, would a 1350 size be plenty or do i really need to go to a 1410

      what gears?

      4.0? with 3 pedals?

personally I have been absotively fine with 1310's the only time i ever break is when i spit out the u joint caps at the pinion end, and its always in a high stress situation and when 1 or more of the u-joint "keepers" have been previously snapped off.

that and stock xj shafts with good spicer u joints can be had for 20 bucks and i can bolt them into the front or rear of my xj.

but with higher gears and a standard more beef should be needed. never really looked into it because i never really had a reason.

if you are upgrading, why not just go to 1410?

if your yoke already accepts a 1350, use a 1350
