  • rebuilding driveshaft

I gotta rebuild my driveshaft for my 60 soon, does anybody know off the top of their head what size u-joint is used in a 79 f250 ford d60?

Also i think i have to get it shortened slightly, how would i measure how much?

And for the front 44, i can use a 1310-1330 combo right?

you can get yokes for any size u joint you want on both axles

i just run the stock 1310 size

Yea i assumed that, but because i dropped lift down 3 inches and the pinion is quite a bit longer on the 60 i thought i would have to shorten my tom woods. So i figured screw it ill rebuild it to use a larger u-joint.

            yoke?

its just held on by the pinion nut. make sure its torqued to spec and if you reuse the nut use loc-tite

haha yea i meant yoke, i would just order a yoke that accepts a 1310 joint for a d60?

iirc there are 2 different spline counts on 60 pinions

if you are regearing your pinion comes with the more (finer) splines
