  • Wtf did I damage now?

OK so in the process of being impatient with waiting for people to help me wire my hellas, i decided to do it myself...even though i have no idea what im doing. step 1 disconnect battery...ok.....

well in the process sparks flew and shit and now some thing is halfway burned through and i dont even know wtf it is

you can see at the bottom of it on the left side it has a little nic in it...wtf did i do? :-\

That looks like a ground wire. Did a wrench or something hit the battery after you took the battery cable off?

Courtney, quick tip. When disconnecting the positive on the batter (red), do no let the wrench hit anything metal on the jeep. Instead just disconnect the black wire and set it aside from now on. If you touch the black terminal to anything on the jeeps body no explosions will occur. Don't be discouraged, get out there and git-er-done!

                        Another tip from my book:

If you work on a Jeep and dont light anything on fire, you must be doing something wrong.
"Watching you work on your Jeep is like watching a doctor operate on a cadaver...
It may be good practice, but in the end it won't do much good." -My Mother.
