  • brake light question

i thought i had seen this somewhere around the tech section a little while ago but cant seem to find it...

i installed disk brakes on the 44 and since then my parking brake light has been on, i thought i remember reading its like that because it thinks theres air in the system, ive bled the brakes out 4 times and im only getting lousy pedal response because i still have yet to install a zj proportioning valve. my question is; will the zj valve fix the problem or is there more to it than that?

I know in my jeep when I had the parking brake light on it was because my braking system failed entirely. Sorry I'm not of any more help.

Unplug the sensors see which one is causing the light to stay on and go from there.

      E-brake
      Proportioning Valve
      Master, Level Sensor

There should be 2 different brightness so if you put the e-brake on and it gets brighter you know that is not the problem. I forget which one is the brightest.

      Do you have ABS?
