    98 xj a/c problem

    i have had my xj for awhile now and the a/c is starting to act up.
    My problem is that the selector dial for the a/c speed only works on
    the last number on the dial. I dont know if its problems with the system
    or something else. if anyone can help, thanks.
    1998 2Dr Cherokee. 4.0 HO with an AX-15 5spd and NP231. Dana 30HP front and ford 8.8 rear.

    I think what your saying is it only works on high. If thats the case replace the blower motor resistor and you will be all set. pretty common problem.

      blower motor resistor - about 22 bucks from the dealer

      im on my 3rd right now...it happens about every 16 months
