i had come across a 2 door jeep xj and it has a blown motor but the guy only wants 400 for it and it has little to no rot. so my question is can i swap out the 4cyl that's in it and put in a 6cyl without too many problems

Honestly, its not worth it since you can buy a cherokee with a 6cyl for less money then it would cost you to do a swap.
