  • Hockey Puck Bumpstop mounting question

How did you guys who used hockey pucks, mount them to the axle??

It seems simple to my simple but my over thinking self is saying otherwise.

I was thinking drill hole in the middle and use a long carriage bolt, but am not sure of the lateral forces on the single carriage bolt.

    Any help is much appreciated

i was planning on doing just that. i personally dont think the lateral forces, unless at high speed/impact would shear the bolt

i used rc car tire seating super glue

      and that got fooked up

then i used a 7/16" bolt. going to a nut welded to the coil bucket and that got fooked up. i recessed the bolt head in the hockey punk using a wood boring bit.

gorilla glue usually lasts a wheeling trip. i plan on using bolts for once this time though

if you want them to last i would reccomend some longer poly bumps that replace the stock ones. my issue was the old dry rubber compressing then letting the metal on the bumpstop tower do the bottoming out and eventually it cracked the hockey pucks and bent the bolts
