if you have an AC leak to compressor is now cycling more rapidly. if your ac doesnt work, thats the cause. or the clutch failed or the relay is fucked that controls the clutch.

ac comes on when the defroster is on as well. maybe you have a leak. you can just unplug it

yes that is normal it goes on when the defroster is on, sounds like you have a leak in the system you can unplug the electrical connector it will stop

it will also do that if you system is just low on refigerant
