Good idea, bad idea. Gas tank change

I came across this thread which raised my eyebrow once or twice. Seems like a pretty good idea, minus the fact that I am still carb'd and hes running Fuel Injection. But anybody have any input as to why I should or should not do this?

It seems that he has all the measurements there, and done. But idk if i like how low the ending product turns out. Hangs down about 2-2.5'' below the hitch. Also if its even worth my time, although.....it would be nice to go from my house to the gas station and back without needing to turn around halfway home to fill it back up again

when I had the burb I was doin that once every two weeks. It had a 42 gallon tank and that was when gas prices were really high. It used to cost me like 150+ to fill it.

you only burn as much gas as you drive. whether u pay for it now or have to make more trips to the gas station your gonna be buying the gas. might as well make the trips less frequent
