  • A quick exhaust/glasspack question

So i got my exhaust done at a local shop and they installed a muffler and tip but re used my stock pipe. Long story short it wasnt loud enough so I bought a Glasspack and cut out my old muffler and installed it. Its decent now i was wondering if I changed the size of my piping if it would make it deeper. Should i change all of it to like 3" or could i just do from the back of the glasspack back? any advice would be greatly appreciated. Im game to try anything

    Thanks

anything bigger than 2.5" and its gonna drone like a mother fucker. not to mention the 4.0 sounds like shit with anything but a quality muffler. if you dump the exhaust right after the glasspack and it isnt loud enough just run open headers. serious.

The larger diameter should make it a bit louder but like adam said it is going to drone more. I have a flowmaster 40 and 2.5" dia. piping from the cat-back and for me its annoying on the highway

true. I love the sound of my glasspack as is. its not too loud I was just hoping for a deeper idle. im not looking for a ricer exhaust. im all set with that haha

i just put a thrush turbo on mine. deeper at idle and lower rpm than sounds pretty much stock on the highway

If you still have an exhaust= youre not wheeling hard enough

4.0 sounds like a tractor when you start messing with the exhaust. as long as the exhaust doesnt dump on something like the axle or the gas tank its good enough for me.

i guess i am content with just my glass pack. maybe in the future ill run all 2.5 piping. but for now im loving the growl when i get on the skinny pedal
