IMO Buy some C4x4 tow hooks for a front recovery point, and get a t-case skid if you want to use your money wisely. I would worry more about mashing your t-case on a rock, than bending a little flimsy sheet metal of a bumper you have now.
I plan on full skids soon i just have to sell some of my other jeep parts then im getting new tires, tow hooks, skid plates and a intake and exhoust.

I have the C4x4 hooks and I love them. If you have a hitch in the rear, take a piece of 2" square stock and bolt a hook to it. Try building your own stuff. I'm starting to now, its taking a while but I'm not going to do any hardcore wheeling with mine until I'm out of college/fix my front end

hmmmm budget..... weld the rear and wheel it

watever you do though, if you get some crazy idea to replace your perfectly good u-joints with stronger ones, cause your bored....... let a machine shop or at least someone with the right tools press the old ones out and the new ones in

ohhhh and for tow points i just bought rugged ridge hooks out of 4wd ($11 each)and fabbed up some nut strips to slide into the rear frame rails (free assuming you use scrap steel and weld it yourself) and up front i bought the tomken xj brackets (45.99+s&h)cause they were cheaper than rugged ridges and just bolted those one.

^ I was going to post the exact same thing. How much did yours cost with shipping considering rusty's rapes you in the heiny hole with shipping most of the time. I possibly will order theirs if i can't find a better deal.

A lot of people rag on rusty's for a lot of stuff like shipping, customer service, attention to detail like hardware, etc. etc. But i can say confidently the main components of my rusty's kit are pretty beefy. All of their skid plates from what i have heard are pretty stout.

I have this tcase skidhttp://www.appalachianarmor.com/prod...skid-plate.htm. Look around forums for a cheap hitch and front tow hooks for good recovery points and maybe a stock gas tank skid too.
