    I know a few of you guys have put spacers in between the stock hood mounts to raise the back up on an angle. Just curious how well it works.

      they do sell hood vents, but i'd watch that tho they let to much rain and weather in your engine bay

        yea i know they sell hood vents but a 2 dollar run to the hardware store and possibly have the same effect is much more cost efficient

                I used 1 1/4 piece of box tubing and take off the rubber gasket.

                I made louvers with a die grinder and wide sheet metal pliers for my CJ they actually came out pretty nice.

                  I dont get any water in mine. I believe the spacers I use net about 3/4". It doesnt help the engine run cooler but it does help get the hot air outta the engine bay which does help some.
                  2000 XJ with goodies soon to be in pieces
                  1999 XJ will get most of the 2000XJ doodads.
