  • Clutch issue

pedal has a couple inches of play. when depressed to the floor there is a grinding noise. kinda like the feeling when you miss a shift and the synchros grind, but thats obviously not the issue here. no matter how far you push down it won't disengage the clutch.

    fluid level is good.

    any ideas?

What happened was the bearing was fine, had a full pedal and everything. Then all of a sudden the bearing goes and that play at the top of the pedal is the extra clearance from the trashed bearing. Check your fluid, bet your out cause it all went to fill the slave cylinder.

Hurm, well it's your bearing. It's the best when it happens when the clutch is in, your sittin there and then the pedal just goes soft and the clutch is out
