i can buy the 8500lb for $240 out the door this Friday, anyone play with one?

i know they just redesigned the motors, guess the magnets feel off the olders ones or something.

i was stuck on a superwinch for a while ($400), but it will be more of a winter use, and i cant see dumping all that cash on it when i need to put money into my drive line.

Dude this is a winch you're talking about.

I'm not sure about you, but when i'm stuck in the middle of the winter, in the freezing cold, with no cell phone service, i don't want to be thinking "Oh did the magnets fall off my winch"?

Spend the extra money and get a warn or something. Yeah it costs more money but you're also buying a piece of mind - something you'll never get with a HF winch.

cant speak from experience here but i literally googled 8000 lb winches...this was one of the first to catch my eye for an extra $60ish bucks....you get another 1,000 lbs and waterproofing with a lifetime mechanical warranty and 3 year electrical? dont see how that could be beat in a lotta ways...of course i know nothing about winches and i literally just googled that for you soooooo LOL
