What are the symptoms of a bad xj Tps? I'm getting a bad idle and rpm fluctuations even with giving it steady throttle. Tps? Throttle body? It seemed to level out when putting it in neutral

if you have a graphing multimeter you can check it in 2 seconds.
just tap into the signal and watch make sure it is a smooth line, if it jumps around it is bad.
Sounds more like an IAC valve to me.
Make sure the throttle body is clean all around the butterfly, and check for vacuum leaks before you go to crazy.
