D44 rear disk conversion (or any 5x4.5 bolt pattern jeep rear)

So I'm a cheep mother fawker
And I have dana 30 parts galore.

I want disks on my 44

All threads online show Zj brackets swaps and fancy expensive swap kits. But I want a free disk swap.

I just cut a knuckle in 5 minutes and it seams like it will work perfect for a bracket to use all dana 30 hardware for rear disks......

Does anyone have a reason why this wont work?

I should also note that I am going to tap the 2 holes in the bracket ( used to be for the unit bearing)

Then weld a 3/8" tab off the axle tube with holes drilled for the bracket to mount to.

I know it will be close to the leaf spring but if I clock it right I should be fine.




If it doesn't work out in the end.... At least I tried and I didn't waste any money. Hahaha

Go for it... If something doesn't work out I have a zj swap available. Don't see why this wont work though.
