its a problem
needs to be fixed
if it aint the problem, atleast you fixed it and you can knock it off the list of possible issues.
you kill 2 birds with one stone.
i bet it is the problem though.
exactly what you described... the jeep shuts down when it reaches operating temperature....
what happens when the jeep reaches opperating temperature????? It uses the sensors to determine a proper fuel air mixture.... im not sure exactly, but i think if the wires short out it triggers the auto shutdown relay or fuse or something like that.
i have phsically watched those damn wires short out before and cause an engine to just stop. on the same year and everything as your jeep. im not sure if Kappy comes on here anymore but it was his jeep and we rewired it and wallllaaaaaa. FIXED
i feel like i have been telling you to do this for years now.... JUST DO ITOriginally posted by Ktmracer419some people choose video games

Yeah, I didn't realize that you were missing an O2 sensor. Definitely put that back in.
On a friend's VW, his ECU fried when the O2 sensor wires shorted. Hopefully the Jeep wouldn't do that, but I'd still imagine it running like crap and shutting down. So maybe check all the fuses after wiring the sensor in.

However it doesn't just shut off....it won't restart after a good hot soak...least not properly, and no matter hat those readings to the ecumenical are going to be in open loop because there's no cat on it. I will however devise a way to make it not short ou and/or find the wires and repair them.-00 XJ. 3.5", 33s. Stuff
