spark plug thread repair

anyone know of any methods that will work, i know of heli-coils but that means you gotta pull the head off....noticed that #2 on my metro is stripped out pretty good. makes enough contact to fire but at certian times misfires pretty good. suggestions?

Go buy a brand new plug and jb weld that fucker in.

they make better thread repair kits then helicoils do a google search.

Don't worry about taking the head off. I'm guessing it is an aluminum head.
just grease up the tap to catch as many chips as possible, whatever falls in will just will just blow out don't worry about it this repair is done all the time.

Yep, I fix a lot of the fords. Fill the tap flutes with grease and run it down. Then just blow out the cylinder. Helicoil does make a spark plug repair kit, works pretty well.
