Cherokee Not Starting

The cherokee started to not want to start in the cold mornings last week and now hasnt started in the past two days. It will turn over and start, rev up to 1500 then die. Last week it would do this for 5 minutes or so and then run normally. Now it wont run at all, just start and die. It has been a high of 10 degrees here for the past couple days. Not sure if thats affecting it. Fred also told me he didnt hook up the cold start pipe, could this be the culprit? Any ideas? Thanks.

Can you keep it running if you feather the throttle? What year is it?

Nope, feathering it it just runs up to 3000 rpm's and then cuts out. Its an '88 and the motors out of a '90.

try cleaning the iac. cant hurt.

Im gonna have to say its sensor related. IAC, throttle position sensor, etc.

The reservoir bottle for the new radiator was pressurized somehow, so I unscrewed the top released the pressure and now it starts up and runs fine. Thought it was pretty odd but it seemed to fix it

Probably just dumb luck, Im going to start going through the sensors and making sure theyre free of gunk and working properly.

If it's the original cooling system then it's supposed to be pressurized.

Nope I upgraded it to an open system
