  • Drive shaft lengths......

    does anyone know the length of the xj 5 spd rear drive shaft compared to the xj auto shaft?

    the jeep is a 5 spd and i am hoping an auto shaft will do the trick with the taller lift the 5 spd shaft is way to short..
    -98 XJ 4.5" lift , 35's, trimmed, locked, geared, flexy
    -14 Subaru STI hatch Stage 2ish
    -54 Dodge Power wagon M-37
    -57 GMC Pickup
    -Tim (OIIIIIO)

    is that sye'd or no?
    98 xj, 4.0, AW4, 231 AA SYE, 4.5"RE/RC, CA drop brackets, 33s, and some other stuff

      no..... i believe the auto shaft will be long enough to do the job....

        I want to say its about 2" difference. Didnt you take my auto shaft?
