Big Front End Problems

i bought a 2006 mazda 6, front end damage, fixed all that i found wrong, which was just the cv boot, and broken engine mount, the rest was cosmetic

i had an alignment done, front end was perfect they said


it had a ripped cv boot, from the crash, i replaced the cv boot which still had clean grease in it, and was slop free.

the car DOES NOT SHACK on acceleration or normal driving

it DOES SHACK when braking, and by examining the rotors, they are warped,

ok, bought a full set of rotors an pads, they are not on the car yet though

both front tires chewed, but they were at the end of there life anyways

heres a picture of the drivers front ( which i am not worried about )
it wore very normal



but here is the passengers front, which wore bad





both rotors are warped, why did this side chew so bad, could something else be bent? any ideas, like i said the alignment came out great.

Wheel is most likely bent from the look of the tire. Put it on the car, with it up on jackstands and run it and see if its true. If it true, then it could also be a shifted belt in the tire. The outside thats the worst looks to be raised over the rest of the tire. So it could very well be just the tire.

are there any weights on those rims at all? that makes sense really, if its out of balance (or not at all balanced) there because of bent or very badly balanced rim then it could chew them off weird. Ive personally never seen one make that kind of a chew pattern lol. looks like it was pinned to the road and drug on its side for 10 miles

Balance wouldn't affect such a large semi even area.

what the hell would cause that wacky of a wear pattern then lol, i mean on the top pic you can clearly see that its just worn on that side of the tire, but the pattern of that other one is just crazy. youd think if it were a front end or steering issue it would mimic the other side? i have a lack of experience with that kinda thing so ill just shut up now

The second and third pic look like the tire was driven for a long time with like 5 psi in it because of the wear marks on both sides

They were definitely low on pressure, but the more i look at it the more it seems like a shifted belt. Especially if its only that one spot. The belt shifts and causes a high spot on the tire, which that appears to be.

Low tire pressure, shitty alignment, and that bottom one looks like a shifted belt in the tire.

tires have been driven at 40 psi, ( which is to high ) and the part that freaks me out is this is what the tire looked like that came on the car, ( i dont know which side this one was on though )



compared to my junk yard tire that i ran for 3k miles

the tires from the original post are junkyard tires and rims that i got cheap so i could put snow tires on them as spares

i ran the set for 3k, they had very low tread to start with,

now i have a 18 inch rim and tires on this side with a very new tire, so ill see if it chews that one up

drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads are in the mail right now

apparently people that drive Mazda only know how to install body kits and big rims....

If they're hub-centric on the Mazda they wouldn't fit. I've tried with the OEM wheels from our Speed6.
