whats this called, rear brake dilemma

So what are those things that come out of the wheel cylinders called? I can't find them online and the guy that "helped" me at car quest was an idiot. i plan to go back to ask a better guy but it would help to know what it really is.

Those little things between the cylinder and shoes.

not 100% sure but i think they are called push pins.
